Kitscoty is located at the junction of Highways 16 and 897, within 20 minutes of the City of Lloydminster. With close access to major transportation corridors and the region`s economic hub (Lloydminster), Kitscoty is strategically positioned to accommodate population growth and development.
1. Growth analysis for the next 30 years to consider future servicing capacity, population and employment forecasts.
2. Servicing analysis to assess capacity to service the future development of a pre-existing development concept.
3. Preparation of a new Municipal Development Plan to guide future development decisions in the Village.
4. Review and update to the Village’s existing Land Use Bylaw.
Community engagement will be critical to the successful completion of these tasks. Throughout the process, the Village will be holding information and engagement sessions for members of the community to aid in the completion of the concept plan, Municipal Development Plan and Land Use Bylaw.
